Who we are

Craft-led natural stone restoration, surveyed properly from the first visit

Marble & Stone Revival is a specialist stone restoration company serving London and the Home Counties. We bring tired, etched and neglected stone back to life in private homes, heritage buildings and premium commercial interiors — polished marble floors, honed limestone hallways, travertine bathrooms, terrazzo entrances, tiled wet rooms and exterior stonework.

Every project is inspected and priced in person by our founder, Marius Surcel, then carried out by a small in-house crew trained to his method. You get a straight answer on whether the surface needs cleaning, honing, polishing, grinding, sealing or repair — no sales team, no third-party subcontractors, no rushed treatment sold as restoration.

Fully insured with Hiscox, listed on Checkatrade, and backed by a UK-registered company — a careful, accountable service from first survey to final finish.

    Assess

Marius surveys the stone in person, diagnoses what is restorable and what is not, and agrees the scope with you before any quote is written.

A written quote with fixed price, timeline and materials. No work begins until you have signed it off.

  3. 03

    Restore

Hand-worked polishing, honing, filling and sealing using our own dust-controlled diamond system. No subcontractors.

  4. 04

Common questions

Frequently asked

  • How long does a crack or chip repair take?
Most individual resin repairs are completed in a one-day visit, including colour matching, filling, curing, levelling and blending. Larger structural repairs with stitching or pinning may take two days. Multiple repairs in a single property are usually scheduled together within one visit. UV-cure resins allow same-day completion on most surface work. We confirm the exact programme in writing at the site visit.
  • How long does stone deep cleaning take?
Most stone deep cleaning projects are completed in one to two working days. A single bathroom or small hallway is usually half a day. A full ground-floor period property clean is typically one and a half to two full days. Drying time is a separate window of 24 to 48 hours before any sealing or follow-on work can proceed. We give you the exact programme in writing at the site visit so you can plan around access and drying time.
  • How long does stone grinding take?
Grinding projects are typically two to five working days. Grinding itself is usually one to two days, followed by the honing stage that always flows from it (one to two more days), and the final sealing stage. A small period terrazzo hallway might be two days total. A large-format porcelain reception room with significant lippage could be four to five days. We programme the work in writing at the site visit.
  • How long does grout cleaning or re-grouting take?
Grout deep cleaning is usually a one-day visit for a standard bathroom or kitchen, extending to two days for a larger ground-floor tile installation. Full or partial re-grouting typically adds one to two days depending on the area, plus a cure window of 24 to 72 hours before any sealing or returning to normal wet use. We give the full programme in writing at the site visit so you can plan around bathroom or kitchen access during the work.
  • How long does stone honing take?
A typical residential stone honing project is completed in one to three working days. A single bathroom or small hallway takes one day. A full ground-floor limestone hone is usually two to three days. Travertine patios and pool surrounds vary with weather, but most are completed in two days of dry conditions. Grinding adds a day where it is required. We confirm the programme in writing at the site visit so you can plan around the works.
  • How long does stone polishing take?
Most residential stone polishing projects are completed in one to three working days. A single-room hallway polish on sound limestone is usually a one-day job. A full-floor marble reception with minor grinding, polishing and sealing is typically two to three days. Worktops restored on their own are almost always completed in one day with the kitchen back in use the next morning. We confirm the exact duration in writing at the site visit so you can plan around the work.
